We know that vegetables are good for us, and we should eat more, but . . . hard to pick wilted lettuce over chips or cookies. But it can be done. Now I eat fewer chips and cookies and more veggies (and enjoy the veggies more) by making small changes.

Diane,

Some of the best ideas come from parents who have children that are dealing with the same or similar issues. I look forward to additional comments and information. We have made several sensory purchases. One of the favourites was the vibrating water brush. Sorry to say that the temptation to take it apart, quickly lead to it's destruction. While not a crazy expense, not willing to keep purchasing when my boy will break it so quickly. That is however one of the several vibration items that he actively chose to do.

I agree, Leslee, parents do have wonderful ideas. Their love for their child or children is the best reason for searching long and hard for great ideas and testing them. Have you found any websites or groups that have been especially helpful to you?

Hi Diane,
What a great idea. Parents could see ideas that other parents have tried (whether they worked or not) for sensory, behavior etc. I think just living with a teenager could be reason enough to receive an award!
