Our vests are functional and fashionable. Not only does our vest have 12 pockets for weights, allowing for a variety of placement options to increase the chance for success, we do it in style. No more droopy shoulders. No more floppy vests. Looks good, feel s good.

After years of gathering information, we know what features you like the best and what sizes fit the greatest number of people. Our standard vests incorporates all of the requested items without having to make so many decisions.

If you buy a standard vest, you only have three decisions to make! Choose the size, choose whether you want indigo-blue or black denim and choose the size of weights (explained below in Weights section) or let us sent you our standard sizes.

Our standard vest :

• Has a scoop neckline at the back and the front.
• Has shoulder straps that will not fall off the shoulders.
• Is made of 100% cotton denim, in either indigo blue or black.
• Has a front zipper closure. The zipper, which is a distraction for some, is hidden by a flap and secured with a snap by the neckline.
• Has 12 pockets for weights – 4 along the neckline, 4 along the chest and 4 along the hemline. The neckline pockets are especially effective with some children.
• Has secured pockets so the weights don’t fall out.
• Includes 12 weights (as detailed below*)
• Has a fold-away neckline D-ring to attach a chewy toy and 2 hemline D-rings to attach attention/fidget toys. All of the D-rings can be cut off if they are a distraction.

Weights:

Our weights come in 2 shapes. The J-shaped neck weights and the rectangular body weights.

Each basic size (small, medium and large) comes with a default weight (see chart above). These weights are NOT based on research. Please order weights to suit your needs, not based on the default amount. There is no extra charge for changing from the default weights. For example, if you ordered a small vest, the default is 12 – 55 g / 2 oz weights. You could change it to 4 – 115 g / 4 oz neck weights and 8 – 55 g / 2 oz body weights. Or you could change it to 4 – 115 g / 4 oz neck weights and 4 – 115 g / 4 oz body weights and 4 – 55 g / 2 oz body weights.

Attention tabs / Fidget tabs:

On the left side of the neckline is a metal D-ring if you would like to attach a chew toy. If the D-ring is a distraction, it can be hidden by tucking the ring into its pocket.

At the hemline, there are 2 D-rings to attach attention or fidget toys.

All D-rings can be cut off without damaging the vest.

Placing Weights in Pockets

Inside the vest are 12 pockets. All pocket openings are located in the lining of the vest. Pocket openings are 7 cm (3 in).

Neckline pockets — enter neckline pockets through inside shoulder seam, under the hook and loop tape. Curved end of weight should sit at centre front or centre back area. The labelled end of the weight should be near the pocket opening.

Chestline pockets — enter through 4 openings along inside seam in the chest area, two in front and two in the back.

Hemline pockets — enter through 4 openings along inside seam at waistline in both front and back.

Fibre Content and Product Care

Vest
Material:
100% cotton

To wash:
Remove weights. Match all hook and loop tape so hook side is covered. Machine wash on gentle cycle or hand wash using detergent. Use warm or cold water to maintain colour brightness.

To dry:
Lay flat to dry or tumble dry on low heat. To prevent wrinkling, remove from dryer when slightly damp.

Weights
Material:
Vinyl-covered weights filled with steel shot. Check weights occasionally for wear.

To wash:
Wipe clean with damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
