Do you know of any techniques that can be taught to a group?

Do you have your own ah-ha story of how understanding your feelings helped you to resolve an issue?

Creating a Successful School Year

Creating a Successful School Year

InnovAID has blankets that help some to get a good night's sleep and items to make the mornings better as well as items that can be used in school.

However, we all know that the tools are only part of the equation. People's attitude and behaviour is important.

What is your most helpful suggestion on creating school success? Is there a blogger you follow that helps in this area? A support group or website?

Help other people who are in the same boat as you to save time and gain knowledge:  Share what you have learned.

De-stressing Dental Visits and Home Dental Care

De-stressing Dental Visits and Home Dental Care

Chemical smells.  Bright lights.  Lying back in a reclining chair.  A stranger putting a variety of objects into your mouth!  Unfamiliar noises - some of them in your own mouth!!  Possible pain!!!

A visit to the dentist is a multi-sensory experience or nightmare, if you are sensory sensitive.

BUT (and its a big but), a dentist is needed to prevent future problems.

What suggestions do you have to improve the likelihood of a successful trip to the dentist?

What do you do before the appointment?  During?  After?

And what about dental care at home?

Share a hint or two and you might win a Transformer for Teeth.  Draw September 5, 2014.

If you have not received our dental newsletter with tips for De-stressing Dental Visits, request it here.

Weighted Cap Insert

Weighted Cap Insert

Is there someone in your life who finds it calming to occasionally have weight on their head?  Or perhaps you are that someone.

If it is something you have thought about, what type of solution were you looking for?  Where would the pressure be applied? How large an area would need the pressure?

What type of hat/cap would the weight need to fit into?

Share your experience, concerns or frustrations around the area of applying pressure to the top of the head. We would love to know what you think so we can develop the best product.

*If you would like us to be able to communicate with you or to become part of the prototype posse (you would test and keep the prototype for this idea), when you leave your message, let us know who you are.

Down near the bottom of the blog, there is a box that says Commentary and a statement that says "Welcome, login to add non-anonymous comments". Login to create a profile. Thanks.

Aim to Avoid Mess

Aim to Avoid Mess

InnovAID needs feedback on how well Wee Target (a toilet training reward/reminder to aim product) works in the real world and compared to other products available, for example: Tinkle Time (Tinkle Time changes when wet and needs to dry to be reused. Wee Target changes with warm liquid and reverts when cold water of flush occurs).

We are considering carrying Wee Targets but don't know if there is a need.

Please help us (and maybe win!) by answering any of the questions below:

Are you going through potty training? Would you buy Wee Targets (approx. $5.50 for a single package)?

Have you tried other potty training products to compare with Wee Targets?

Are you involved with a school, daycare centre or other public place that might use a Wee Target? Would you buy it?

Share your opinion and you might win a Wee Target sample!

Thanks for sharing. If you have a comment but want to share it with me directly, go here.

Juggling Improves Reading

Juggling Improves Reading

it is obvious that the brain affects what the body does. Did you know that what the body does can improve the brain?  Activity helps the brain to create new pathways.

One skill that Jim Kwik of Kwik Learning recommends and does in his classes is juggling. It uses both left and right hands and develops visual tracking and peripheral vision.

A beginner tip to learn juggling is to use Kleenex (moves more slowly in the air).

Another one is to use a rolled up sock (won’t roll away).

A third and final tip is to practice over a bed or chesterfield (picking up your juggling props is quicker).

Share with us what you do or what someone could do to improve the skill or love of reading.

Thanks for sharing. If you have a comment but want to share it with me directly, go here.
